The Woollybacks break the 100+ members barrier
During May the club hit new heights in membership numbers never before seen in its 19 year history, the club broke through the 100 member mark for the first time.
May’s newbie ride saw a further 6 people sign up taking the club to a total of 105 fully paid up riding members. This high level of membership means that the volume and choice of riding available to club members is truly staggering, last weekend as an example saw 7 different rides available through the forum for members to choose from!
The volume of members the club currently has is down to a number of factors, the first being the hard work of the committee and ride leaders who brought the club from having only around 20 members 3 years ago to its current massive level, the second factor being the clubs members themselves, who make all welcome and share advice, coaching, technical support and simple good laughs to all in the club.
The club currently offers avenues to race, take part in numerous events, puts on its own enduro distance rides, technical training rides, all day trail rides, local loops and even short rides to bring the less fit up to “club standard” the depth and variety of riding is truly staggering.
The success of the club is also proven by the clubs biannual weekends away being booked up super quick leading to the club splitting its latest October Scotland weekend over two weekends to accommodate all the members wanting to go.
So well done to the Woollybacks, each and every one of us can take pride in the part we play to make the club the best place for quality riding to be. All that for £10 a year (and you get a free car sticker!)
