WOOLLYBACK LEGIONNAIRES

In January 2009, 2 of the current members decided that they couldnt get enough of mountain biking and spent as often as possible out on the bike. These were Nigel Brown and Alan Ready.

There is enough stories about these 2 to fill a few webpages but plainly they loved the night rides and fortnightly rides that the club offered but wanted to do more adventurous (some may say idiotic lol) routes and events.

Actually things started last year when someone mentioned about how good bivvying would be and so they started to plan. Now when reading about any of the rides they have in the pipeline you need to take note that the word planning needs to be used lightly and the word winging it would be more appropriate, but thats how they like it and its more of an adventure.

In a phone call to Al one day he mentioned how glad he was to have found the club, his words were "i cant believe i have found other nutters who think bivvying on top of a mountain is a good idea". The events started to get listed and more members started putting their names forward to join in.

Below is a list of Epics/Events/Routes/Adventures that are being undertaken by members:-

27th-28th West Highland Way

30th April-4th May Coast 2 Coast
