ST. HELENS WOOLLYBACK M.B.C. CLUB RULES
1. This Club shall be known as 'ST.HELENS WOOLLYBACK M.B.C: and will be affiliated to the cycling touring club (CTC).
2. The management of the Club shall be an annually elected Committee.
3. The Committee shall consist of six members, comprising of a Chairman, Treasurer, Ride Secretary, Secretary, Junior Liaison Officer and one other.
4. The annual subscription fee shall be set at the AGM.
5. New members joining after the 30th September of any year shall be entitled to all privileges of full membership up to the 31st December in the following year. Member’s renewal is due the 1st of January every year.
6. The Committee will meet quarterly to transact the Clubs business. Four members required to form a quorum.
7. Every individual wishing to become a member shall complete an application form and submit this with the annual fee.
8. Any member not paying his/her subscription within six weeks of the 1st January in each year, or in the case of a new member within six weeks of election shall be deemed to have resigned. They will forfeit all rights and privileges accruing from membership of the asaid Club.
9. Members shall be liable to expulsion for unseemly conduct. The Committee reserves the right to strike a members name off the Clubs books.
10. No member shall be allowed to take part in Club events or rides in the Clubs name unless he/she is clear in the books of the Club. Prospective members will be allowed to participate as a guest on their first two rides, to participate in subsequent rides or events they must join the Club.
11. The Clubs financial year shall commence on the 1st December and end on the 30th November of the following year. After which date the treasure shall prepare the balance sheet and subsidiary accounts. Two auditors, i.e. the Chairman and the Secretary, will audit the accounts. The Clubs books and accounts shall be open to inspection by any member upon request.
12. The Annual General Meeting shall be in the month of January and at least seven days notice of such meetings shall be sent to members.
13. Items for the agenda of any General Meeting shall reach the Secretary at least fourteen days before the relative meeting.
14. A special General Meeting may be called by the committee or alternatively by the Secretary upon the receipt of a request signed by seven members, subject to at least seven days notice. An Agenda for the Special General Meeting shall be sent to all members at the same time.
15. No alteration or addition to these rules shall be made except with the consent of at least two-thirds of the members present at the Annual General Meeting or Special General Meeting. Notice of any changes is to be circulated to the members seven days before any meeting. Together with a copy of the Agenda or a copy of the relative alteration or addition.
16. Any matter not provided in these rules shall be dealt with by the Committee, whose decision shall be binding on all parties.
17. ALL MEMBERS WILL ABIDE BY THE MOUNTAIN BIKE CODE OF CONDUCT
18. HELMETS MUST BE WORN ON ALL RIDES.
19. Members must be self-sufficient and carry the EQUIPMENT recommended by the club and ride leader.
20. Non car drivers are expected to pay at least one quarter of a car driver’s petrol expense in respect of any lifts given to events.
21. Members and guests participate in all events and rides at their own risk without liability to the club, its officials or ride co-ordinators, for loss, damage, injury or accident however caused.
22. In the event that the club ceases to exist or is wound down then all assets owned by the club will be donated to the local schools or community.
23. Members must be over 18 years of age
