Clwydians cancelled 18th March 2007

Due to the weather conditions the ride at the Clwydians got cancelled, this was decided at the services on the morning of the ride. We deceided to ride Llandegla instead, as it turned out it was fantastic. In the forest you couldnt tell there was gale force winds blowing, no rain and the odd snow shower. For those who have never ridden Llandegla, the surface if very clean. You dont end up covered in mud and the bikes dont end up filthy, it is trully an all year round MTB facility and its on our doorstep(less than an hour away).

Riders were Ian P, Roger S, Paul W, Eric A, Dave E, Jason M.

Llandegla is fantastic. This has proven to be an all weather, all season run. The winds that were around yesterday dont touch you at all in the forest on any of the sections.

A post off the forum

Highlights of the day were, old couldnt help but smile with the new black runs, thats right the old fart actually smiled although he could have been fartingTongueIt was good to have him out with his little chicken legs spinning aroundLOL
Roger lived up to his nickname, i didnt think it possible to overtake on the black runs but was proven wrong. Jason is going to make a full recovery.
Eric started jumpingShocked he started off the day getting about 2" of air and finished with at least 6" of air, and getting better.
Pauls strategy was uncovered, he paces himself so that he blasts the last section back to the cafe, however riding to close to the edge of the track made him 'touch cloth' when the edge broke away and he started falling.

We had a go at the jumps section twice and started gaining confidence to clear the double jumps.

Another good laugh out with the woolly's
