RIVINGTON

2nd September 2007

Riders were:- Pol, Clone, Newboy, Giantkid(Ian), Garfield, Buzz, Pieman, Desperate, Billingebiker, Rosie, Reignman, Tyre kicker, Spud, Red rooster.

Apologies if i have left anyone off, but there were loads of us.

The day started with a fine drizzle as we got underway and started the climb to the top of the Pike, at the top the wind was blowing and although not cold we were soaked. We decided that it was not worth going across the tops towards darwin tower so we decided to do our normal Thursday night loop, also some of the lads wanted to bail at 12 so it was a nice way for us to stick together and get us back to the cars. Once again Darwin Tower has alluded me because of the weather.

Paul and Geoff fancied the full ride so split to complete the full ride.

So down to 12 we began the usual route having a good ride and laugh all the way around. A couple of snapped chains and the usual grinding paste noises from the bikes which is the norm around Rivi was all the trouble we had all day.

Back at the cars for a bit of food and drink, those who had to get home went and 4 of us went back upto the top to have a look at any technical bits to throw into Thursdays route and a bit of a lark around.

Very good ride even in the weather and thanks for the company and banter
