  • my chain snapped

    hi everyone can someone help , my chain snapped today and i have no idea what type of chain to put back on it , its a custom made bike , ive only had it a few weeks ,
    it has a yeti asr sl frame , front & rear suspension ,

    er does this help does anyone know , or am i best taking it to a bike store

    9speed or 10speed?

      If you have only had it a few weeks then I would take it back to where you got it.

      Failing that it would most likely be a 9-speed chain (Count the cassette sprockets) and can easily be fixed with a SRAM powerlink. You may also need a chain splitting tool to remove a pin or broken link.

        Chain pin probably hasn't been fitted properly. Take it back, failing that give it to me and I will take it the tip for you

            thanks yer i was recommended a sram chain , eh 9 speed , not that this technical stuff means much to me but am learning , it has 27 gears !! anyway thanks for your all your help but am all sorted now , and ready to go !!
